6. Make sure to never have an expression on YOUR face you don't want to have on the client's face in the portrait.
This is a weird one. But I guess it makes sense. If I was laughing then my subject would also usually be laughing. Maybe it just sounds weird when reading it. I'm thinking of having my face scrunched into the view-finder and imagining the subject doing the same. That would just be bizarre.
The one's about having the body not square in frame seems silly to me. I would think that the subject would dictate the pose. Maybe I've just never thought about it. I don't really like rules. I feel that every picture is unique and calls for it's own unique set-up.
