Underarm or leg hair on women does not bother me. I like a woman to LOOK like a woman, and not a little girl. But hair in unnatural places, such as facial hair on women, does.

Particularly large amounts or hair in weird places bother me so I put "yes". On the other hand, while I don't like full beards, nicely groomed facial hair can be nice. I also have an odd fetish for a day or three of stubble on guys with nice features. Underarm hair and leg hair on women bothers me even though I don't want to sleep with them regardless.

what really gets me is the short hairs that prick you, if a woman does not shave her legs that is not so bad but it is the short prickly hairs that get to me
Title: Re: Do you find body hair unattractive?

Being a woman, I will say that I prefer my legs to be shaved at all times.  On the other hand, since I wear only pants in public, and no one else sees my legs but me, I don't shave them nearly as often as I'd like.  Stubble bothers me, too.

I'll finally chip in my two cents.

I do find body hair extremely unattractive.  The thick, dark variety, anyway.  Chest hair...yuck.  Hair on legs and arms, and thicker patches elsewhere are normal.  We all have body hair, normally it's just thin and lighter in color on women, and sometimes on men too.  It's a fact of life, but thank the FSM that a few someones invented razors, depilatories, waxes, and all other instruments and devices of hair removal.

Sigh, here we go.  Now I'm gonna get about a billion bitchslaps and all sorts of angry comments from women because I'm being a pig.

Over the course of womens lives, as they mature they shave all their stuff in the shower at one time or another, just splattering soap and gel.

Stand in a shower with a woman long enough and she will soap her butt cheek and shave it.

But you know where thy cant reach?  The spine.  They have these little fine downy hairs growing right up the middle of their back.  And theres no way they can shave it.  Theres a short patch a few inches long between the kidneys and a second patch about four inches long beneith the darker head hair.

So, the answer is a resounding NO.  I do not find body hair unattractive.

But that doesn't mean you can stop shaving your junk once in a while.

Back in the 10th grade my friend Erin let me feel up her leg that she hadn't shaved in a couple of days. It was kind of sexy, but I don't think I'd want a lot of hair on there. She only had nubs that pricked my hand.

Underarm hair - no
Cooch - landing strip or less is fine

I love the natural look.
No bra.
No makeup.
No shaving anywhere. Arm and leg hair can be hot, if the woman is hot.

And if she's got a beard... she can't help it, she's naturally unattractive.

I don't see what the big fuss is about.  People have body hair.  It's not the hottest thing on the planet, but women have hair on their legs and under their arms.  It's a fact of life.  I think it's a little unrealistic to expect women to keep completely hair-free all the time.  Some do, for themselves.  But hey, if no one's going to see them - I don't need to shave my legs every single day.

As I can see here, and have heard from other people elsewhere, majority of people doesn't think hairy women are attractive. I'm wondering how much our reaction is result of the of fashion, market and conformity. Hair is natural, so why are we so grossed out of it?

P.S. Why most of you say "shave legs". A lot of women do not shave! We use wax, lotions or other products. Shaving legs makes the hair stronger.

I'll second that.  Anyway, I had a choral concert this past weekend and it was so hot that they allowed women to wear sleeveless dresses (usually they have to have at least some form of sleeves...this is classical music, etc. ;) ).  Anyway, one woman had more armpit hair than I do.  It was disgusting.  She had almost as much leg hair as I have as well.  It sent chills up my spine.

My personal thing is MY opinion... armpit hair on a fem is gross, on guys they need to trim that shit, I do. I plead with women to shave their legs, it's not personally appealing. Moustaches and chin hair is a no no. And WTH is with black dense arm hair?

my thing...if I wanted to date a hairy wildebeast, I'd date a guy

We are mammals body hair happens.   For some reason I don't like to see a happy trail on guys who don't have any other hair on their bodies.  It just seems plain odd.  Also not a big fan of guys with butt fur.  Typically it varies from person to person and I don't give body hair much thought.

I have mixed feelings on body hair. If I'm trying to look attractive for some reason, I like to be mostly hair free - keep the eyebrows and head hair. I like the way shaved feels, especially on the legs. What feels nicer than freshly shaven (is that a word?) legs? I don't usually feel the need to be attractive though, just clean - hair brushed, fingernails clipped, etc. Since I don't feel that need, I definitely don't shave everyday, just every few days or so; it's not too time consuming. The only exception is that in the winter time I don't shave my legs. This was my first winter doing that, and I gave in a few times, but mostly it didn't bug me at all, since I was wearing long underwear and pants everyday up here in NH. While I don't find it physically attractive, I could only see it in the shower, since that's the only time you get naked in a 59 degree house, and I can't see without my glasses anyway. As soon as the long underwear came off, I went back to shaving though.

Eh, I have certain preferences, but I'm just not that anal about hair. It's hair. We all have it. I definitely wouldn't want to be with a dude who was that anal about it. Been there, done that. It's annoying.

I agree with Julia.  I hate being with someone who always expects me to be completely perfect all the time.  Okay, not perfect...but someone who can't embrace certain facts of life, as well as imperfections is not someone that I want to waste my time on.

I find it interesting that the girls talk about their own unwanted hair and the guys talk about their preferences of hair on girls.

I think turn about is fair play.  Back hair in clumps, butt fur that means the entire butt covered in hair, Ear hair, nose hair and the odd happy trail hair on guys who seem to have no chest hair.  Come on ladies some of that stuff has got to be a total turn off.

Now some women love what gays would call Bears.  Bears are guys who are covered in a thick layer of hair everywhere.  Personally, I see a household that has to invest in loads of drain cleaner if your guy is a bear.

Now some women love what gays would call Bears.  Bears are guys who are covered in a thick layer of hair everywhere.  Personally, I see a household that has to invest in loads of drain cleaner if your guy is a bear.

Actually, most hair goes down the drain, even the hair from your head if you keep it reasonably short. Our hair is always falling out and, if you're not suffering from male pattern baldness or some other ailment, it's constantly getting replaced by new hair cycles. The clumps that form in the drain are usually due to someone who has long hair, probably on their head. It doesn't go down so well. I learned this from when I had a roommate in college with long hair. He had very little body hair. I never find hair in my drain, the one that no one else uses. Whenever I share a restroom in a household with people with long hair, I find I'm having to perform that most distasteful task of plucking out that wet clump on a regular basis.

One problem with body hair is it's a breeding ground for the bacteria that causes body odor. Sweat has no odor. It's the bacteria that grow in it that create the odor. It's probably not that much of an issue except in a few key places like the underarms, crotch, and butthole. That's where the really nutritious (to bacteria) extretions come from. There is actually some musk that is our own scent that hair has nothing to do with but that's actually not the same smell that most associate with body odor. If you're bushy in those areas, you can go a long way toward controlling your odor between showers by just trimming it; yes, even guys. One of the reasons women tend to have less body odor issues (American women, anyway) is that most shave their underarms.

I'm actually really on the low side when it comes to body hair, for a guy anyway, and I still trim the key areas. I think it helps a lot. But then I'm gay and I don't have weird issues about grooming that so many str8 guys do. It's not a threat to my masculinity. :)

The history of why women shave goes back to prostitution.  French prostitutes wanted to appear to be younger so they shaved.  The trend caught on an spread as a way for women to become sexy.  For some reason it ended in France but continues in England and America.  Now it has become part of America's cultural norm.

Sorry we are mammals and hair happens.  Everyone should shave and trim to their own personal preference.

Im Hispanic- So I just wax...it's much easier and really makes a difference, you can go a month without thinking about leg hair. I also have to pluck my eyebrows ALL the time. White girls are lucky they have such fine hair.

What is gross is chicks with lots of hair on their arms- I know a lot of Cuban ladies afflicted- luckily I have been spared.

Here in Singapore a lot of ladies don't shave their legs- and I personally think it looks gross, but just because I've been socially conditioned to think so. But still- black leg hair on pasty skin is not attractive.

On dudes I don't care- I think shaved is a bit weird and too hairy is gross, especially if the sweat clings to his chest or armpit hair. Yuck. I like just normal, I guess.

Taors has about the same amount of facial hair as I do (if I were to grow mine out for a while to match that picture) though mine is more around my mouth and chin.  I have almost none on my cheeks/sideburns.

It's the opposite for me. I can only grow small yellow hairs on my chin and around my mouth. Maybe we're twins...

Face it you are still babe as you get older the facial hair will thicken.   For many males is seems in direct proportions to hair loss on the top of their heads.  But some people do have naturally different hair colors.  I guess they are brindle humans.  My cousin has dark curly brown head hair, mustache and a bright red beard hair.  It is really funny  but he prefers to sport the two tone look.  It all depends on heredity I suppose.

We had this guy in school who had a circular pattern of white hair on his head.  It was visible as such because he wore his hair very short.  His nickname was spot.

Did you just call me a babe?

*Dances seductively in LL's direction*

My father's father is bald on the top with hair on the sides.  My father's hair is receding, but the pace seems to have slowed down a lot so I'm not sure he'll go as bald as my grandfather.  My other grandfather died in his 70's with a full head of hair (I tend to have his hair...he also wasn't very hairy) so we'll see what happens there.  Either way, I've got a long time to go before I have to worry about that.  Honestly, I don't think I'd have a problem with being bald in my old age.

Male pattern baldness usually starts between 18 and 25. If you make it past that with no signs, then you're doing pretty good. Old age baldness is something else altogether I suppose.

That is how I be. I don't have much of any on my chest, and I am not going bald at all. Does that mean I look gay?

Obviously dolphins don't have hair.

As long as she's not positively wooly I don't see anything gross about a girl having hair on her body. I have a beard and I like it. It's not going anywhere. I also refuse to shave my body hair for any reason. Therefore I would not insist on a lady shaving hers. I would prefer it, but I wouldn't insist. There's nothing unnatural about having hair - it would be like insisting that she never fart.

Actually, they do have hair.  After all, they're mammals.
