I'd vote for the Gonz.. but with the ink spots. That's a big part of that artists style.
Ya, I know. I'm a big fan of his work. But it doesn't jive with my minimalist thing.
Not all of his stuff is splashed with ink.
I can always add the ink later. Believe it or not (you'd probably believe me) the ink blots are actually more of a secondary piece, I'd add around it, maybe with some typewriter letters, or other personal shit. I definitely wouldn't go with the ink splatters that appear in the actual draws. Those are random, and they kinda go with signatures and other stylistic flairs he added as captions.
So I'd probably clean it up and use the image, and ponder shit for a while for the extras. I like the ink, but I don't think it works in tattoo as random splatters. I'd assign meaning to the chaos, even if it just had personal meaning.
Eventually, there would be inkblots. But not copied directly as they appear from Steadman's pieces.
