You can always get a new liver, right?

You can. The process is quite horrific; not to mention all the failure cases.

I've been drinking the Full Moon I got at the store this past weekend.  It's pretty good stuff.

I had Powerade and Emergen-C earlier.  Now I've moved on to more water, as usual.

I'm not a fan of the powerade, except in the middle of the summer, during a long ride. And even then, I have to water it down to be able to stomach it.

The Emergen-C... I love that stuff. My housekeeper told me about it a month ago, when I was trying to avoid the cold going around. That's how I'm taking my vitamin C a lot of days, now. Pour it in a glass of water when I come in from a run, and I get to rehydrate & take vitamins all at once. (I like multi-tasking, if you didn't know.)

It is very sugary.  It took me until about 3 or 4 in the afternoon to drink it (I got it at about 10 when I got to work) because it's so sweet.  Usually I water it down when I'm at home.  I drink Gatorade at home instead, actually.  But at work I just got it out of a vending machine and there was no way for me to water it down unless I had gone to the bathroom and poured some out.  So I just sort of drank it it intermittently in between drinking my water.  Emergen-C is good stuff though.  I have a hard time remembering to take vitamins because I take so many pills every day anyway, and I've been trying to keep the plague away as well.

We drink Emergen-C at work when we get there and when we leave. Between that and all the powdered antibiotics I get exposed to, I stay pretty well.

I'm drinking a chardonnay tonight. Dunno what brand, it was pretty cheap though. (about $7)

Went to a Martini Party tonight at a nice little restaurant.  Had a nice dinner (some sort of lamb thing) with baked brie and pumpkin ravioli.  Then went to the bar when the martini's started flowing.  All sorts of different flavors.  They all sucked.  The chocolate one was ok, but it's an after dinner drink and shouldn't be a regular size martini.

So now I'm home, enjoying some cognac.

I worked as a phlebotomist at UCLA medical center and dealt with a lot of people who had completely successful liver transplants and were living active lifestyles months after the surgery.  It's pretty amazing, although I'd never want to deal with it for myself.

PS:  I'm drinking Guinness and Newcastle tonight.
