we've been eating the shit out of cucumbers (small, pickling size) & plum/roma tomatoes
x-virg. olive oil, white balsamic vineg., salt, pepper, fresh basil, sometimes thin-sliced,fresh mozzarella...
that & fresh corn...i'll eat that stuff(&did), every nite...
excell. slather for corn-on-cob: (kinda southwestern) i tend to go lite on the butter (altho, nothing beats real butter on corn) & mix in x-virg.ol.oil as a supplement.
way better for you.
(measure depends on how many ears, obvious)
this works for 3-4 ears:
1/2 tsp. of each:
garlic powder
salt
pepper
chili powder
cumin
add 2 tbsp butter w/ 3-4 tbsp oliv. oil in micro (5-10 sec. max)
mix well & spoon over your cob....
i always use a couple paper plates for corn...you kin wrap em round your cob & spin to maximize coverage...
