The donor was Moore, and JimK had to suck it up and thank him for his generosity, because he really needed the medical treatment.  I honestly felt bad for the guy, because Moore was only doing it for giggles.  I've never heard of him singling anyone else specifically then or since, although he may give to Lefty organizations between blowjobs from Cindy Sheehan.

Quite a few of your details are incorrect.

It was his wife who was sick.  When he received the donation it really was an anonymous, JimK didn't know it was from Moore.  Later on Moore revealed it to him.  And then, to prove beyond any doubt or argument that he's a complete douche bag, Moore announced it to the world at the end of Sicko.  So it wasn't an act of generosity or sympathy, he never intended to remain anonymous, and it provided a colossal example of douchbaggery.

I actually watched "Bowling", and wasn't impressed with his reasoning, other than his ability to sell the crap to his own choir, as well as
some of the weaker-minded fence sitters.
The animated "fear" sequence would be an excellent illustration of the people who would disarm their neighbors, silly fear driving their
own use of force to deny innocent people the ability to properly defend themselves. Yep. It would be freakin' PERFECT for that.
Unfortunately, he got it wrong, and however entertaining some folks may have found the movie, it was merely political drivel... only loosely
described as entertainment in order to avoid legal issues.
The whole scene with Charlton Heston, where M.M. crawls over the still-cooling bodies of some dead students for a little impact, shows what sort
of piece of shit he really is.
Not that I was completely in agreement with C.H. over a lot of stuff, nobody deserves that sort of treatment just for giggles.

If you followed Moorewatch in '06 (IIRC), it was Jim who was ill.  He even had pictures of himself in bed, and descriptions of his shitty experience regarding the pain pills, stuff like that.  Thats when he began imploring the followers for donations to the site.  During that time, his wife (Linda, I believe) was okay, and was attending to him.  Later she also became ill, which I just found out recently when I went back for an update.

I'm aware Jim didn't know it was from Moore - it was anonymous -  and I stated as much in my rendition of the incident.  Read again, Hitt.  Before the release of the movie Sicko, Moore told Jim somehow, phonecall, e-mail, I donno.  Moore then told Jim it would be used in the movie - right before it was released.   

You can read all this in the "READ THIS FIRST" banner at MWatch - except the part about Jim being sick is conveniently missing.  It was very much NOT missing at the time, the guy was pretty fucked up, or he was playing sick to get donations.  Maybe he made it up because he figured he'd get more donations for himself than if he said his wife was sick. 

Either way, Moore's a dick.  And JimK likes to build websites with Paypal links on 'em.
