Yeah took me a while to find a name that wasn't taken.  Looks like Open Beta starts April 30.

I got signed up. I don't suppose anyone has managed to try the beta yet? The video looks pretty good.

I played in the beta weekends 2 and 3, and by beta weekend 3, it was pretty polished.  I have the Hero of the North pack, and I'm looking forward to the open beta starting up on 4/25.  In the previous betas, I played a Devoted Cleric and had a lot of fun.  I'm not sure if I'll do that again, or try out a new class this time around.  They all look fun, honestly

Holy Jeebus! You paid $200? I have been seriously considering the $60 package but I was kind of inclined to wait until I could try it unless I heard reviews to change my mind. No way I'm shelling out $200 for a game.

It looks like the packages come with some astral diamonds. Is there any hope of getting some of that back by selling some of them for cash?

I haven't decided yet.  I heard the multiple server thing will be temporary and all will be merged into one fairly quickly after the release.  Right now, I don't even know what the server options are/will be.  In the beta, I thought there was only one.  Do you know what they are?

I'm still pretty clueless about this game other than from the videos I've watched and what little I can glean from their website. Their website is a bit discouraging btw. The link for the Control Wizard is non-existent and a lot of other stuph is sketchy. Apparently respecs cost real money so it's kind of frustrating that there is no obvious information about that before I start having to make decisions.

Thanks, that's an actual photo of me   Anyway, we're going to start out on the Dragon "shard", so make sure you create your character(s) there.  According to the FAQ, you won't be able to move a character between shards once it's created.  They plan to merge the shards eventually, but who knows how long that will take.
