I don't listen every day, but I do hear about 70% of it, always via podcast - I just have no tolerance for radio ads.
My listening attentiveness also varies quite a bit: I get the best material absorption if I listen while taking a walk in the woods, but I usually prefer to listen to audio books on those walks instead. The absorption weakens when I listen while doing housework, for example, and I often put on a show while I'm trying to fall asleep every night, which often takes me 40-80 minutes to do, and listening to something as my consciousness gradually fades out makes the process less boring and depressing. (Major insomnia / depression problems here, and I've always refused to take medication.) For this reason I get to hear the first part of the show (usually not the best) a lot more often (I've thought about starting to listen from the middle of the show while trying to fall asleep, but it just doesn't feel right doing it). I really should get in the habit of spending more time doing
light outdoor work, which would be better for my eyes, my health, and my FTL listening habits as well.
