It probably makes better sense to just ignore this thread.

There are a couple of enhancements I'd like to write for forum software if I can ever get around to it.  One is a sort of enhanced ignore feature.  Ignores any threads started by people you're ignoring and also keeps their posts from being visible AT ALL instead of showing "You are ignoring this person" and "Don't think about pink elephants!".

Another is a troll meter that allows everyone with > X weeks and > Y posts to vote on whether any particular user is a troll and they can change their one vote (per user) at any time.  The number of troll votes a person has would show up by every post near their handle.  Each user can then change a setting that auto-ignores anyone with a troll rating greater than that value.  The mods would choose a default setting so certain users with a high troll rating would not show up for new visitors unless and until they adjusted their troll tolerance setting.  They would ideally be informed of this by some intro thread if they bother to read the rules of the forum and what-not so they could change it right away.

It isn't just this thread where he's caused facepalms and gag reflexes. BTW, those are all great ideas.
