Ian and Mark seem to take over too much and the third person there just usually sits there and doesnt speak up.
Perhaps they should prepare something they hope to talk about on the show too? I like what they say, some more so than others, and I want to hear it.
-
I like sam as a co host :( ,damn Jackboots! and i agree maybe the other co hosts should keep a few articles to discuss and they can start off a segment if there are no calls
-
Sometimes the co-hosts are on a roll though. Not the LOA stuff (which has died down) but still, they bring new ideas from people who spend their day in a different way than Ian and Mark.
-
Maybe ian should have Mojo and Worsley from twoforoneradio.com One of them is a state worshiper way worse then mark
-
You can only fit so much into a show, and Ian and (to lesser extent) Mark are the core of FTL.
I'd really like to see more FTL co-hosts getting their own podcasts on LRN though. :D
-
Nick did have a bad show this past tuesday.
Sad, because I like what he has to say, but he speaks so little I forget he's there until they come back from a break.

I notice that too. I want them to be active participants in the discussion, not just listening and eventually chiming in.
-
Does anybody get the impression that when Julia speaks she always sounds likeshe has PMT?
-
What's PMT?
-
What's PMT?
PMS
-
I like all of the cohosts and want to hear more of all of them.
I particularly like Gard.
-
Yeah... I don't really get PMS, and if I ever did, weed would eliminate that pretty quickly. I'm usually just exhausted from ten hours on my feet.
-
Dale is a pretty good cohost. Maybe he could one day do his own show or participate more regularly in a different show.
-
I'd be all for dale doing his own show b/c he is a true rationalist. All this panthieism/LOA bullshit really turned me off of FTL. I haven't cut off my amp money yet b/c they backed off talking about it. The damage however is done; it really dropped my opinion of the fucking show. DALE DO IT!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
-
Gard's usually good at getting his two cents in.
-
Dales probably my favorite co-host right now.
-
i miss sam :(
-
i'd llike to hear more of wayne. he has a better sense of humor than anyone else.
gard is dope, too.
i like sam, but he's basically another ian.
-
I really like Julia... it's nice to hear a girl's perspective once in a while.
Plus her tips on pot brownies made my life.
and I like to hear Dale talk... he is very rational and doesn't get too emo on shit.
-
Wayne, Gard, Dale are my favorite co-hosts. Dont make me choose. Sorry Julia and Sam.
-
Haha, I actually think the pot brownies discussion got me more thank you emails than any other topic, which is funny, because Mark was very upset.

This is relevant to my interests. Do you remember which show it was?

I agree about Julia. I've never had an issue with how she sounds, and it's a nice change to have a woman on the show.
I also like Dale, in that it gives the show a change of pace.

Torgo was hilarious
-
Haha gard was just rocking out then called himself the mighty gard. Nice.

Not off the top of my head, but I could find out pretty easily. I'll get back to you if someone else doesn't first.
-
Gard is by far my favorite cohost. I was dying when he wasn't around for a few weeks.
-
I think Gard is my favorite, one reason being that he gets himself at least as much time as Mark.
-
I miss Torgo. :(
I agree with that. I enjoyed the shows that had Torgo on them.
-
I like to listen to gardner because hes always got this wealth of information that hes dying to get out. You can tell by the sound of his voice that he can't talk fast enough for his own satisfaction. Hes got it all planned out in the back of his head, and your just waiting for him to finish laying out the backround info to make some super cohesive argument.
Nick is also crazy smart, and when he has something to say its always great. Hes the humble mediator between ians insanity and marks hesitance to take the last step.
So, i agree, if they talked more i wouldn't mind.
-
Johnson, Torgo, Dale, Gard
I doubt we will ever here the flabby tones of Torgo again. ;(

+1 for the cohosts speaking up more often. I think Nick and Julia are the worst offenders.
I couldn't say which cohost I like best (they're all great), but Dale and Gard are the closest to mirroring my viewpoint.
-
Julia sets quietly in the corner while the men are talking, I am just guessing there, she could be in the kitchen.
Sexist hi five!
-
Gard is Number One, in fact Liberty Conspiracy is on the cusp of overtaking FreeTalkLive as my favourite Podcast.
I like Julia, she is pretty funny when she wants to be and her laughing at things is contagious. I also find it amusing that sometimes she won't even try to be involved in the discussion. Ian will try to bring her into the discussion and it turns out she wasn't even listening.
Nick is good and like someone said above, he may not talk that much but his comments are always golden. Toby isn't on enough to really analyse but I don't have anything against him.
I actually really like Wayne. He has a great voice and a great sense of humour (which makes up for Ian's complete lack of a sense of humour).
Dale and Sam I haven't really warmed up to as cohosts yet.
