Title: Startpage.com
Post by: Spideynw on September 27, 2009, 11:38:28 AM
I found the segment on startpage.com to be very fascinating.  I am definitely going to use it.  Does anyone know if there is some website I can go to that has the bullet points listed out of the arguments made in the segment?  I would like my friends and family to start using this search engine, but I know if I just send them a link to it and say "this is a secure search engine", they will probably just ignore it, and I am really unable to explain why it is secure as opposed to google.

Hope this helps but not sure if it covers all discussed on the show.

I've used StartPage on my site for a few months now. It is not as fast as google and is getting better with the results. Some things are still easier to search using google but it takes time to index. I support it fully and thank FTL for bringing it to peoples attention.

startpage.com is a CIA front.

It was created by the government (with help from engineers from google) to easily log and track the internet activities of those who "think" they are actually surfing anonymously.

The agent did a good job of selling it on air but we know better don't we....

One of the better conspiracy theories I've heard lately.

Kathrine is a hard working NH liberty activist and not part of the CIA.  She worked hard to help stop REAL I.D. and partially because of her work, NH is known as the state most against REAL I.D., even today.

This is exactly what they want you to believe.

She was in NH before NH was selected by the FSP participants.

How do you know they are really not keeping your information?

How do you know they are really not keeping your information?

Because google signed words on a piece of paper and someone lived in NH before 2009... get with the program.

It sounds like a great honeypot...

Step 1: Give everyone a false sense of security.
Step 2: Funnel everyone through a single location
Step 3: Easily collect records from that single source as opposed to having to jump from ISP to ISP
Step 4: ?????
Step 5: Profit!!!
