Title: Shop Newegg, Help CDEvolution.org!
Post by: FTL_Ian on September 09, 2008, 02:14:37 PM
The commissions aren't as big as Amazon, but due to popular demand, you can now shop Newegg through this link, and CDEvolution.org will get a 1-2% commission:

http://newegg.freetalklive.com

Thank you!

Cool. I have been thinking about building a new computer.  I will definitely use this link when I get around to doing that.

w00t!!

Please remember, computers have long lifespans. I predict there will be big purchases, but it may be awhile. For example, my kickass sweet dual-core 8MB RAM 1.5TB RAID-array PC with twin Conroe XFire GPU's is going to last a little while. I hope.

RAID-array
Redundant Array of Inexpensive Disks Array....no

It's a RAID set, not a RAID array

I'll be making another big purchase at Newegg within a month or so. So then it'll go to FTL.

I recently replaced some drives in one of my servers and that ordeal made me promise never, EVER to build another computer without hot swappable drive bays. I'm now trying to convince myself that this is an important expense, but I think I'd really rather wait.

In a bit of irony, I'll be placing an Amazon order tonight, for the first time in two years. Go figure. :S

The HD on my old PC just shit itself last week.
I'm glad I didn't buy anything until today!

I bought 1 GB of Kingston PC 2700 RAM for $38 through the link. The shipping was fast and the RAM works great! A+++++++++++++

Just used  http://newegg.freetalklive.com to buy an epilator, a mouse, and an external HDD.

It honestly surprised me that Newegg was selling epilators.

How can you tell that after you enter the site from that link, that they (newegg.com) will actually give a percentage to FTL?  They did not acknowledge it when I made my purchase, nor at any point in my shopping.  I guess I don't expect much to be said, but how can I know if my purchase actually counted towards FTL, however minimal it may have been... ?

Ian may mention how much they earned after he is freed, like he does with Amazon.

You wish.  The paint that the letters are painted on with has rubbed off on a lot of the keys.

I've learned to type (obviously).  As I type this I'm watching television.  In the dark.  I couldn't see the damn keyboard in front of me if I squinted and looked right at it.  I don't need to.  It just bugs me that it looks the way it does.  It's all about aesthetics, man.

You're not typing www are you?  I was talking someone through it on the phone the other day (wireless router) and he kept typing www even though I never said anything about typing www.  Eventually he said it as he typed it, I told him to follow instructions, if he knew what to do then he wouldn't have called me.  It worked.

12 years out of phone support and STILL I got to talk to assholes who don't do what they're told cuz they think they know better than the guy they called cuz they didn't know better.   fucking grrrrrrrr

I tried it in Firefox and IE.  I was at home at the time.  Now I'm at work and it seems to be working.

Maybe it's my ISP?  I don't have this issue with any other sites.  Comcast in New Jersey?
