Just from a quick scan, scores do not seem to vary significantly by region.

You scanned very quickly.  Generally, education is considered best in New England and worst in the South.  SAT scores have more to do with education than IQ.  In most of the South, the ACT instead of the SAT is taken.  In TN, for example, usually only the elite students take the SAT.  This is even more true in extremely poor areas like the Dakotas.

New Hampshire, a New England state has the highest SAT scores out of all of the states where a very large amount of students take the SAT.  New Hamphsire is also known to have one of the best education systems in the nation.  It is also the only one that does not offer free pre-1st grade.

I live in Georgia, and know only one person who has a Southern drawl, and he is not intelligent. The other people who do not have the drawl vary. Your data is meaningless; apples to oranges.

Actually, that data is very useful.  It shows what many people already know, that people in New England tend to have higher SAT scores than others.

Hey, I'm a somewhat intelligent southerner, so it's legit for me to do the accent.  I'm even guilty of using "ya'll" in my regular speech.   

Yeah you are.

On a side note, I'm from Indiana and I occasionally catch myself slipping into a bit of a Southern accent, but mostly it's some sort of slight accent that doesn't really match anything else.  I think I'm just weird.

All you have to do to discover how southern FL is, is go east of the interstate in Tampa Bay.  Zephyrhills?  How about Arcadia?  Myakka City?  Some places you just have to hear the name to know, like "Deltona".   

How about that Port Charlotte, Lindsey?
