I think they are spots added for the regular podcast. Female voiced spot. They are way louder than the program. Hurts my ears, and if I turn it down, I can't hear the show when it comes back.
-
Turn it back up when the show comes back on.
Thats what I would do.
-
Volume control can turn volume both up AND down.

Thats just silly, pie-in-the-sky future world nonsense talk.

AMP? Then you never have to worry about commercials again!
-
It is a little difficult to change the volume at 70mph on a motorcycle.
Didn't we used to have little AMP indicators on here?
-
The volume levels on the podcasts have always been too low. I used to listen while riding the bus, but I had trouble hearing the callers. If the hosts didn't repeat what the caller said I had no idea what they were talking about. I couldn't hear Stephanie at all. I can hear whatever music I'm listening to just fine, but FTL mp3's are barely audible in a noisy environment.

Disturbing - I specifically format my spots to be about average with program content. Can you ID the spot next time? Is it just that one, or all spots?

I do frequently pot up callers because their audio is too low. I notice you mention Stephanie - are you finding more trouble with the Sunday show? It's possible they are worse because they don't have much experience running the board.
-
Yes, I think it is a bigger issue on the Sunday show.
The adult toys spot tends to be quite loud. It was a bit awkward to be sitting in traffic on the bike with FTL playing, then the adult toys spot is talking about lube and such really loud for all to hear.
Tragedy of the commons.
