Government officials actually WANT to help. Most bureaucrats think that they are the intellectual elite and that if it weren't for people like them most americans would not be able to function in life.

Yes, that's right. And it's important for liberty supporters to realize that it doesn't change the moral quality of their actions one bit. People who throw pot smokers in jail cells "for their own good" only do so it because it makes them feel good. It is totally selfish, and it is the symptom of a sick conscience. And of course those who redistribute money to "help people" are no different.

my mom is a government official.  She wants to help, so you're right.

but she wants to help her purse explode with all that stolen money.  Don't get it twisted, most bureaucrats don't care if you are working or unemployed, housed or homeless, or alive or dead.
