Missing Mark
« on: December 27, 2009, 12:20:47 AM »

You know at first I thought Mark was an irrational prick, but recently since he hasn't been around, I miss him?  He's the FUNNY one, without him Ian seems redundant.  If I had to give Ian a Native American name in the absence of Mark, it would be "Chief Beat A Dead Horse."

I was listening to the 2009-12-22 show with Nick, and it strikes me that if Mark said any of the minarchist things Nick said on that show, Ian would have jumped down his throat.

IMO the show would be more entertaining and just easier to listen to, if Ian were as deferential to Mark's differing opinions, as he is to Nick's

Once I watched some professional wrestling (I only allow myself this mindless indulgence while I'm working out) and then I fell asleep listening to an FTL podcast, and I had a dream where Ian and Mark were in a wrestling ring with microphone headsets bodyslamming each-other while they argued.

I'd have to agree with Dennis.

Ian and Mark compliment each other very nicely. Mark has a log of clever things he says, seemlingly off the cuff.

I think you meant complement
I don't recall an honest, non-snide, non-backhanded compliment exchanged between them in ... years.
