Mark Talk Live
« on: April 24, 2009, 04:08:02 PM »

Ian is away this evening and will return tomorrow. I was thinking we could do some different stuff and change some music beds. If you want to make me new music beds, the rules are:

1) :30 seconds long
2) no vocals

email them to mark@freetalklive.com

I favor classical, just for something totally different. Maybe Bach. Also, it'll get Ian mad, and he'll never miss another show.

Good show Mark.  First I've listened to in months and I enjoyed it.

The "science"-centered mysticism from Dennis last night was almost as bad as the usual (though only occasional) pantheist mysticism from Ian.

I thought it was every bit as interesting as the regular show, with Ian. Except, Ian wasn't there to call names to everyone who didn't agree with him 100%.

I liked it. It was shocking to hear Mark start things off even though I expected it.
Also Ian is more like businesslike and brief with the callers whereas Mark was trying to engage in conversation.

Quote
Ian: Lets hear from Steve in Colorado. Steve, whats on your mind? Steve going once, Steve,
Steve: HI!
Ian: Steve, whats on your mind?

Quote
Mark: Lets hear from Steve in Colorado.
[pause]
[pause]
[pause]
Steve: Hello?
Mark: Hi Steve.
Steve: Hi how're you?
Mark: I'm fine howre you?
etc.

Yeah, all that appealing to "falsifiability" and "multiple independent lines of confirmation" is absolute mumbo-jumbo
