There were some guys on there talking about passivism. They were saying that armed resistance is futile. They sounded like the Borg from Star Trek. Just let them do what they want to you but don't obey.
This is sheer stupidity.
Any government that fears an armed populace SHOULD!
The Iranians threw off the US backed Shah through a violent coup.
They are about to throw off the opressive Mullas the same way.
This time I think they may get it right.
This Federal Republic of The United States of America would never have been founded without violent armed conflict.
You would still be bowing and kneeling to the Queen of England.
I personally will not tollerate this.

The change in mindset was more important than the violence itself.  The people who fought the British would have just been seen as trouble makers and wouldn't have accomplished anything if the masses of fellow colonists didn't accept the belief that they should be left free from British rules.

Be prepared to use violence if necessary but work at changing minds.
