Letters to the program directors
« on: May 12, 2009, 11:18:50 AM »

I started this to hear what feedback they have received from program directors they have contacted about the show. Here's the email and response.

Hello.

I am a listener of 840 AM. I live in Eminence Kentucky. I have been
listening to talk radio since I was 16. At one point I would listen to
Rush, Bortz, and Hannity. But now my tastes have changed and although
they are still somewhat entertaining, I now prefer other shows and
different formats. That is why I am emailing the program director of
your radio station to let you know of one of my favorite radio shows.
It's called Free Talk Live. The hosts are located out of Keene, New
Hampshire. Their names are Ian Freeman and Mark Edge.

I would strongly encourage the program director to check out the show.
They are on live six nights a week 7:00-10:00PM Monday-Saturday. Their
website has all the details and also the stream of their live show as
well as their archived shows. Thank you so much and I hope you will
consider finding a spot to add this extremely thought provoking show to
your program line up. The liberty message is a very popular message and
would contribute significantly to boosting your ratings.

Sincerely

Michael Garcia

And the response.

Hello, Michael.

Thank you for writing.  We currently have no openings in the 84WHAS
program line-up.  However, we're constantly keeping an eye open for new
shows, and are tracking the performance of several programs in other
cities.  Then, when an hole in the schedule does open up, we already
have prospects to consider.  We are aware of the "Free Talk Live"
program, and have had discussions with the show's producers.

Perhaps there will be an opportunity for it down the road.

Take care.  Thanks again for writing, and for listening to 84WHAS Radio.
