So what do you call an organization which engages in the act of governance?

"agency.   1.  An entity that ACTS (1).  2. An organization acting on behalf of
customers, subjects, members, or citizens. A governing agency is the organi-
zation that conducts GOVERNANCE, whether of a GOVERNMENT or an ASSOCIATION."

-Dictionary of Free-Market Economics. Fred E. Foldvary. 1998.
[Capitalizations indicate further definitions therein.]

The use of the word government is still preferable to agency for the same reason that it's preferable to management.

What reason is that?

I'm referring to this:

Management seems like a better term.

Logically, they should be equal, as they mean the same thing. Politically, people relate to the word government as organizations that specialize in services related to maintaining order, protecting rights and settling disputes. So government, or to be very clear, voluntary government,  is the better term to use, if your trying to sell anarchy to the uninitiated.

As the state feeds off of the limitation and destruction of legitimate government, anarchy is its essence.

To claim "economic rent" from someone Else's labor when applied to land, which is something no one can own outright, is in itself, to claim landlord status over raw nature. It is an attempt at coercive monopoly power that is at the root of statism.

According to Bursting Bubbles of Government Deception and as explained in this simile of todays reality of a society sheds some light of why you can live as a completely free man, at least in Canada. However it does require a common law based legal system and I have no idea of how to actually perform this in practice. Something I am more than willing to learn and follow.

What a crock.  These "I am Sovereign" guys say things that are obviously untrue and no one calls them on it.

Listen to what that link says:
Quote
I intend to leave society. I am not moving physically, either. As a human being born in this country, I have the Common Law right to travel anywhere within it. I also have the right to join or not join societies as I see fit.
  ...
There is not one person among you who can lawfully force me to consent to being governed, nor is there one among you who can lawfully apply society’s statutes to me when I am outside of society.

Of course no one can force you to consent.  To do that would require redefining the word "consent".
But they do not ask or require your consent in order to use Force against you.  None of your pretending or mendacity can change that fact.  If you violate one of their Laws, whether it is a prohibition with which you agree (murder, theft) or one you reject (bestiality, cannibalism), they can and will punish you.  You do us a disservice when you claim that we can be Free from their oppression simply by declaring ourselves so.
