Is it possible to be completely government free?

Any group that would eventually pool their resourses together would technically form a "government".  True?

Of course that's false. A "government" is a person or group of people which forces its way on others.

I don't think you can be free of government, simply because in some small way, government will affect you.  Butterfly effect and everything.

Uh huh, sure. As if a government would let you opt out so easily. We don't accept opt-out for SPAM, why do you accept it for government?

Negotiation.  If you and 4 other friends jointly own a business (type of government), you are not going to always agree on the proper course of action.  Just cause the majority makes a decision doesn't mean the others are forced to follow with force.

Governments form naturally in society.

In the way that the original poster intended, it is not impossible.  It's been done in Iceland and Ireland--though not into perpetuity--and I think there was at least one other place.

Governments form naturally in society.

You're conflating business, where everyone entered voluntarily, with government, where everyone did not. Try again.

P.S. Governments do not "form naturally." They form through violent conquest and by no other means. The U.S. is no exception.

Absolutely true. (+1) You just need to distinguish between the legitimate form of government (voluntary) from the criminal form of government (State).

Unless you're a hermit, anarchy requires voluntary government. People intuitively understand the need for government. Because they have been falsely taught to believe that anarchy is devoid of organization, or government, leading to chaos, it's probably better to use the word anarchy only among radical libertarians and, instead use the term voluntary government, or private government when communicating with the uninitiated.

As the state feeds off of the limitation and destruction of legitimate government, anarchy is its essence.

To claim "economic rent" from someone Else's labor when applied to land, which is something no one can own outright, is in itself, to claim landlord status over raw nature. It is an attempt at coercive monopoly power that is at the root of statism.

That's what the statists want you to think.

I disagree, I think government can run voluntarily; after all, it's simply an organization which governs. If all the people it governs consent to being governed I fail to see the problem.

And: Yes, that is still a government.

Some people get it.(+1)
