Post by: ahasp on August 12, 2009, 01:35:33 PM
What are some products and services that 1. you use and would recommend to a friend 2.  would appeal to a nationwide audience, and 3.  would appeal to FTL listeners?  Here are a few that I use and would recommend:
1. Zenni Optical
2. American Science and Surplus  (www.sciplus.com)
3. Netflix/Roku
4. (for students) iChapters (www.ichapters.com)

Trojan has some cute radio ads.

I wonder if Heineken might revise their grab a Heine radio campaign.  Those ads were funny much in the same way as the Trojan ads.  They used alot of sexual innuendo.   Even so many beer and alcohol sellers are always looking for new audiences.   There are smaller national brands that might be will to take a chance on the show.

I think I have called most of the beer manufactures in the country, I just couldn't get anyone to say yes.

If you are kind enough to make a suggestion I will try to be respectful enough to follow up.

Some of the suggestions I dismiss out of hand for a variety of reasons, but if I like the suggestion; I will tell you what happens. People like to hear that their suggestions are treated as valuable. It is a small cost to me for the value of the suggestions.

I left a message. No one answered their phone at 11am on a Thursday. Not the best of signs.

Ah- I thought you were gonna reference stuff like the Anarchist Cookbook which may lead to Mark worrying about attracting a new demographic of listeners who resemble those lovable rabble rousers like The Unibomber & NH10.. which might just be a genuine concern afterall !

They have all sorts of good stuff there, a proper mix of oddities & politics that should fit in with the talk radio crowd.
