Co-Host Thread: All things co-host related.
« on: February 02, 2010, 10:44:07 AM »

I thought we needed a thread dedicated to the co-hosts of FTL, past, present, and the future.

My favorite: Dale.   I love Anarchy in Your Head, I love his direct rebuttals to morons, and I especially love his sassy gayness.

My least favorite: SamIam.  The LoA stuff wears on my nerves, plus he doesn't have a good radio voice.  It's monotone all the way.  I'll give him credit and say he's got courage to stand up to authority and his productions are rather nice, but as a co-host? Me-no-likey.

Worst Co-host ever:  Lauren Canario.  I know she's a liberty superstar, and that makes her hot and all.  But that time she sat in to talk about Objectivism... I just about put my dick in the blender.  It was that bad.

Luthor is funnier than Dale. Dale has a bad habit of talking over people.

I don't think that's true. For example, Dale actually kept his cool while being constantly interrupted in the interview with Jack Cole. I actually like him best as a guest/co host because he enters the discussions more often than any of the other hosts I've heard. A lot of them just sit quietly in the background until they are going to read an article or something.

I think the website should list who the co-host is above the pod-casts story topics.

Shows co-hosted by Johnson were always significantly better and more entertaining than those without him. Dale is probably the most competent, and expresses liberty better than anyone else (although Mark is better at selling it). And Gard is a great all-around radio guy.

I don't really have the listening time to catch the show daily any more. But I always make sure to catch Mondays with Gard. I love that guy!

That is true he does speak up. I think the exception would be Gard.

Dale really seems comfortable in his surroundings, and completely at ease. When he chimes in, it sounds like he is having a good time and enjoying himself, which is one of the best things you can do for a live performance (radio, plays, etc.).   If you are having fun the audience will pick up on it and join in.

Gard kicks ass

On Mark I will pass

Dales just gay

Sam should go away

Julia sounds like a mouse

Why ain't Torgo in the house?

Dump: Sam, Nick/Toby (like wtf? these two are useless), Johnson (if I want to hear a computer lecture I'll go back to university), Wayne/Julia (unless they speak up more)

Keep: Manwich (because we have to), Gard, bring back Torgo - who is much funnier than Johnson, Dale - but only if he starts talking like a queen, he needs to be a bigger queen to really pull in the gay demographic.

Haven't heard enough of Mr. Lincoln (Luthor)

Who the fuck is Wade? To many fucking co-hosts, like seriously, we need three people every fucking night of the Goddamn week? No, we fucking don't. Forgive my language, I'm a bit moody.

Can you give me a show date to hear Torgo?  Never heard of him as I've only been listening since late 08.

go back to 2006/2005, i think there are some promos to, Johnson was funny to but Torgo had the perv factor down to a tee. Jason had the best comebacks and one liners, I have fucking died laughing listening to some of the shit he got up to, i think he said if he squints hard enough he can see a halo over politicians heads, shit like that.
