Which FTL (co)host is most electable for NH governor?
« on: October 17, 2007, 11:24:53 PM »

(Sorry Torgo, Johnson, and others...)

I'd pick Gard - he knows local politics inside and out, and no one will ever call him a "free state hippie carpetbagger"!

EDIT: for the sake of keeping this poll interesting, let's ignore the "7 year residency requirement" joy mentioned.  It probably won't be for about that long anywayz...

Doesn't matter, because he knows his shit, and sounds extremely intelligent when he makes his points. Like Harry Browne, he manages to pull off a free market position, without scaring too many people.

And you don't think the fact that "Hey, we have an anarchist running for Governor!" will be spread around rather quickly?

I think there is a 7 year residency requirement to run for Governor in NH.

With that, is anybody other than Gard eligible?

Hmm, I didn't think Edgewich (being an ex-con) would have as many votes, I thought Julia'd be second.

Because I'm running for office now? Mark has the pretty face of a politician, and is REALLY good at talking to people.

Yup, and because of the "heterosexual male bias" for good-looking young ladies.   :P

Without knowing much about Wayne, I still go with him.  Its a tie with Gard but my tiebreaker is who I like more on the show and its close... although I do know that Gard is more than qualified and really electable and has the name recognition through his show... maybe I change it to Gard.  I don't know.  Mark has an unfortunate past and Ian is too condescending and probably wouldn't run anyways.

Speaking of Mr NoLastName, his FTL wiki article lacks basic details, and I only know of him through that UN Flag Burn event and blurry memory of the show...  Someone ought to do some research and fix it up...  Someone who've had fewer beers than myself...

I voted mark cause he pays such close attention to his looks only to remember after clicking his criminal record. No matter what he is like now(he could save a bus full of schoolchildren), his opponents would rub his past in his face at every chance they get.
