When I was single I'd stare.

If the woman would get lippy about it, I'd tell her not to look hot if she doesn't want to be looked at and walk away.

You'd be amazed how often they'd call me back over.

I don't think you should go around asking anyone to "bare" children for you.
That could get everyone involved brought up on at least state, if not federal, charges.

Childbearing is the appropriate term, but you still shouldn't use it.

I would think a very simple Hi, Hello, or Good Morning/Afternoon, with a smile would be perfect.
That's something that is not at all threatening, or offensive, and is a generally pleasant note in one's day.

If you're not putting out a creepy stalker vibe, you're probably going to get at least a smile and Hi in return.

Um. Thanks. I don't think I actually get checked out all that often though. Even in my normal geeky engineer/programmer circles, where they do think I'm sort of cute, I quickly become one of the guys - except I'm in a skirt.

It happens in a noticeable way every once in a while. If the guy is friendly, and not an ass about it, I rather like it. Especially if it's on the bike/run path. Getting checked out & receiving smile & wave while spinning along at 16-18 mph (or running a heck of a lot slower than that) is a bit more of a boost than being ogled by the drunk guy at the end of the bar.
