Title: What to do about Mark Levin?
Post by: AlexLibman on August 17, 2007, 02:45:30 AM
From Ron Paul Daily -- Mark Levin encourages phone spam (http://ronpauldaily.blogspot.com/2007/08/mark-levin-encourages-phone-spam.html) --

Quote
Mark Levin [Site] (http://www.marklevinshow.com/) [WP] (http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Mark_Levin) is encouraging his listeners to flood Ron Paul's campaign office with calls to tell him he can't win. This is a very underhanded approach, and is meant as a psychological weapon...there is a grassroots call to action:

I think all Ron Paul supporters should flood Mark Levin's show with Ron Paul is the right man for President calls. Call the Mark Levin Show at 1-877-381-3811

The action is targeted for Friday, August 17th.

[DIGG (http://digg.com/2008_us_elections/Mark_Levin_encourages_phone_scam_blowback)]

Obviously my first instinct was to fight back - organize our (and AJ's) people to out-call, out-email, and out-hack his people.  Then I thought about it a bit...

The neo-con asshole that he is, The Mark Levin Show is the 20th most popular (http://www.talkers.com/main/index.php?option=com_content&task=view&id=19&Itemid=44) in the nation, and he can get Limbaugh and the rest of his clones on his side as well.  We need to win the hearts and minds of those silly people, not start them on a crusade against Ron Paul!

So, as infantile and disgusting as Mark Levin's attack is, I think we should turn the other cheek!

If anyone does call his show today, I think you should calmly explain that we cannot in good conscience vote for any Republican (or Democrat) other than Ron Paul, and if he doesn't get the nomination most of his supporters will vote Libertarian, or not vote at all.  Sorry, it's our vote.  And then explain the reasons why.

Being calm and rational will make it more difficult for him to hang up on you, and you might make some converts along the way.

Psst, dude, I didn't know either, but c'mon, it's the 21st century, you're supposed to pretend to know everything and just look it up online when no one's looking...

Anyway, sad to see my "turn the other cheek" proposal isn't catching on...

Who the fuck is Mark Levin?

Some big, blubbering vagina trying to pass himself off as a radio talk-show host.

Yeah, so who gives a shit who he is? Every big time radio host has written off Ron Paul already.
This guy, who I've never heard of, is small fucking potatoes.

Do unto others as you would have them do unto you.  DoS the mofo.  Honestly, though, I would say calling into his show and calling him out is probably the best idea.  Keeping things somewhat civil and legal is probably a good idea.  I certainly wouldn't mind seeing some more malevolent action taken against him, equal to what he's asking his listeners to do though.

Allow me to point out the obvious: They recognize Ron Paul as a threat. Why aren't they doing this to any of the other candidates that won't win?

Holy Crap! I listen to Mark Levin... and I still didn't know who he was. He's on KSFO in San Francisco. It's a Hannity/Rush/Dr. Laura station. There's one guy on this station that actually argues in favor of Ron Paul, and took his side in the Paul v. Giuliani Fiasco of the first RP debate. He's a late night guy, maybe Matt Drudge, or George Noory... eh... I don't know any of these people. But, what I recommend doing is calling the most liberty minded host on the station that carries Mark Levin near you. That way you reach Mark Levin's audience, but not neccassarily Mark Levin's show. Once you're on, bash Mark Levin and his tactics, not as a Ron Paul supporter, but as a "principled republican." Really act disgusted by him. Accuse of of hindering the democratic process. And put it a subtle soft sell of Ron Paul.

Then burn Levin's phone lines!

Seeing the sheer number of people who haven't heard of him, why would anyone give any credence to what him or his jackass followers say?

This guys bio is histerical. Apparently, "Mark has become one of the most listened to talk show hosts in the nation" and he's "one of the hot properties in talkradio today." He's got a best seller called, "Men in Black" and "When your book is endorsed by Rush Limbaugh and Sean Hannity, you know you have a winner on your hands." Sounds like he's successful because he's Sean's favorite fluffer to me.

I wasn't aware the Islamic community used words like "fluffer."

I wasn't aware that I was a community.

Edit: And I wasn't always Muslim
