Poll

Assuming Dr. de Grey's work bears fruit... but the government requires a declaration of lifetime obedience in order to gain immortality. Do you accept?

Yes, lifetime submission to the state is worth immortality!
- 1 (4.3%)
I'd make the declaration and get immortality, but try to disobey whenever convenient.
- 6 (26.1%)
I'd try to gain immortality outside of the system, and just suffer the state's wrath when I'm caught.
- 7 (30.4%)
No, that's not an acceptable deal.
- 9 (39.1%)

Black market immortality for me, thanks. So what if I grow an extra ear/testicle from a bad batch? Better than being an eternal bitch.

Chili fries, couple of crates of 7.62x51, and a buck and a quarter.

I'll throw in a bottle of home made honey mead if I can get it shipped overnight.

Well the state operates on deception so why can't I engage in deception in my dealings with the state?  I could make a promise to eternal obedience and my first born to the state then change my mind at the earliest convenience.

1. Promise obedience to the state
2. The state collapses eventually
3. ????
4. PROFIT

Anarchy is inevitable. It's just a question of time. To have 100% certainty that I'll be there when that time comes is worth having to obey the law until it does.

I'd rather just die.  What the heck is so wrong with dying?

Immortality might be a crappy thing--"life" imprisonment could turn into a REALLY long time.
