Yes and no

I think it's a cute way to dissent, but it's not going to change anything.  I like the crossing out "God" better than the Flying Spaghetti monster.  I don't get Pastafarianism-- is it just pretending to believe in another absurd deity to show people how unfounded their beliefs are?  I think it just confuses Christians, who already think atheists worship Satan.

Something I do to some of my money is to put an L between the O and D, making it say "IN GOLD WE TRUST".

You forgot the vote option "Yes, because as a Christian I am offended by the antichrist government to use the phrase"

Good one, felix, but I can't change the poll due to my account resetting addiction.

I'm not an F.S.M. fan, it's just an image I came across.  I neither stamp nor write, just strike off the whole "in god we trust" phrase with a pen or a marker, in effect replacing it with a blank stripe.

Here's a thought - G.O.D. stands for Gold, Oil, and Drugs, representing what backed the currency in the 19th, 20th, and 21st centuries, respectively.  :x

Christians are already confused. Go for it.

I'd cross out God, and write TAXES in big letters.

"In TAXES we trust" - That should send a nice message...

or

"Federal Reserve"

In the federal reserve we trust. Although, that probably won't make any sense to most people that see it.

That's brilliant. Taxes are the Fed's god.

Heh, if you cross out god, and write taxes... I just sort of thought.. Ya know.. even extremist Christians who think that the government is against the Chrurch could back this idea of crossing out the word God on Federal money....
