Whats necessary is keeping the fucker afloat and running.

Sounds like Firefly.  I'm in.

Firefly had a hooker to pay the bills. I say we get some hookers.

I wonder how much it costs to run a ship per year.

From Wikianswers:

Quote
Q. How much fuel does a cruise ship use?

A. To put it in perspective, the fleet of U.S. flagged ships sailing interisland Hawaiian cruises (spending 96 hours of the week idle in port) run a price tag of nearly $250,000 a week to fuel each vessel, lifeboats and tender boats. These ships range from about 70,000 tons - 93.000 tons.

Most cruise ships are at sea much more than this, and use more fuel from week to week. Much depends on itinerary, sea conditions, weight and other variables.

That's running most of the time, of course. I guess you could spend a lot of your time adrift, and you don't need as much in the way of power if you're not hosting all that luxury, but still... Big bucks for a big ship.

Freedom Of The Seas runs at about 4,000 gallons per hour.  Q+D math from her Wiki.

Lower the plank, they'll climb aboard.  Chicks love boats.

C'mon, Vegas has hookers...

We'll have dolphin hookers!  AND drugs!  AND low-cost head transplants!  AND regular hookers - with whom you can change heads and experience sex the other way around!  AND tags you can rip off mattresses!  AND endangered species you can set on fire or kill with your bare hands!  AND human sashimi from every continent!  AND you can call the Kremlin and ask Putin if he wants to trade nukes for two-headed dolphin hookers!  AND drugs!

I want to cloudstead. I can live on a balloon

All your cloud base are belong to governments...

Unless they're in international waters, in which case you might as well float.

I think a few of those things may violate the agreement.

Hookers give me the heebie jeebies.  You can have them.  I'll take the mechanic.  If that doesn't work out, crazy girls need lovin' too.

I'm going to listen to what the Seasteading folks say at the March 5th - 8th Liberty Forum in Nashua, NH and then decide.

That happened at the previous Liberty Forums and there are even DVDs for sale.  I'm sure there will be quite a discussion on Seasteading compared to NH or combined with NH.

They talked about Seasteading 40 years ago when libertarianism for started to get popular. It will fade out just like the FSP did.
