I'm considering building a portable sweatlodge for my campsite. I just wanted to know if anyone would be interested.

Love the little lodges with the hot rocks.  She we take Saliva or other Indan "meds"?  Also, do we need Indian names?  I'll bring the smallpox.

 :lol: I'm talking a sweatlodge in general, not necessarily a native american sweatlodge. Since I don't belong to a native american nation I would see it as being a little disrespectful without the proper knowlege. If people are interested they are more than welcome to bring their own traditions and beliefs.

Haha point taken. I've been looking for ways to bond with people while at porcfest. I really want know as many people as well as I can. Sweatlodges aren't anything sexual, but they are a good place to carry on deep conversation and thought.

Ummm no thanks... although a hookah with flavored tobacco doesn't sound like a bad idea. I've considered getting one of the huge ass canvas tents... but money is an issue there, not to mention the space they use.

No, you are welcome to join. Some people are a little weird about having guys and girls in at the same time but it doesn't bother me. My ex-girlfriend loves sweatlodges.
