America is a continent, you have to be more specific.

Yeah, nordicity helps.  That's why I didn't even bother adding nations below a certain latitude.

Yes, and people born in Asia are Asians, people born on Earth are Earthlings.  The broader grouping we use, the less fun the poll becomes.

I vote for Kentucky.  They invented wild turkey.

This is a poll of ethnic stereotypes.  I mean, everyone in this country came from somewhere!  When someone votes Irish, for example, it doesn't just mean the 8% that are still in Ireland!

So I am torn over whether to add "Kentuckian" as a poll option.  How do you convince me it's a nation?  It doesn't have its own language, and the culture is not that much different from WV or TN...  Most people in that state are of British / Irish / German ancestry - why not vote for one of those?

Kentuckians are Scots-Irish descendants.

Since they currently, and unfairly have zero votes at the moment, I feel those two nationalities should be combined.

Clearly, it should come down to Russian, or Scottish / Irish based on stereotypes.

"Scandinavian" is not a nationality. You've got Norwegians, Swedes, Danes and Finns, and we all hate each others guts. :P

Where would the American beer-brewing industry be without the krauts?

Yeah.. I might have to withdraw my vote for Russian to switch to Kentuckian. Hardcore Hillbillies might very well out drink those Hillbilly Russians.. by the way, I know there must be some similarities.. so what do you call the "hillbilly" sort of Russian?
