I'm 99% sure scott is for real.
point #1:
I don't think he is actually part of any of those racist groups. I think his racist views come from living a very sheltered life in which he inherited his narrow view from a racist family.
point#2:
He may be able to speak fine, but he's more of a broken record, always returning to the same point. Which could be a sign of a lack of communication skills.
point #3:
He could have some kind of a mental disorder, handicapping his emotional depth. Which would also explain his racist view, someone with more of an emotional capacity is less likely to be so narrow & racist.
point #4:
Someone with such social and emotional handicaps is more likely to live a very sheltered life.
point #5:
This may his emotional response missing in point #3. Instead of an outburst, he just shuts down. Also sometimes people who are challenged, like scott, 'lock up' and go blank when 'put on the spot' and questioned.
point #6:
I'm not exactly sure which caller you are talking about, but I do vaguely recollect someone similar sounding. But in my life I have come across many people with a similar accent. Scott has a fairly common accent for the north east US. But this point is the only 'chink' where I'm only 99% sure.
IMO Scott suffers from some kind of developmental disorder, which doesn't reduce his actual intelligence, but handicaps his emotional and social abilities. I have a particular disorder in mind, but I don't want to give others with the same disorder a bad image by associating scott with them. He has probably never lived away from home, and had very few if any real friends. On one hand I pity him, but on the other hand he's really annoying. What he needs is really intense therapy. He is a un-well person.
