I never said it was just about physical beauty.  Total beauty can be defined as a personification of pleasure, like I find myself more attracted to girls I'd actually have a chance with.

Personality could definitely count as part of one's natural beauty, and money might too, especially if it's fairly and personally earned.

That's interesting.  I meet all sorts of people in my line of work, and by God people share information with me that I don't want to know.  A lot of it being from other guys who are telling me what girls they think are hot.  I guess they don't find me attractive so they think they can talk to me about stuff like that.  If that's not it, I don't know.

Anyway, I find that a lot of men I consider unattractive will reject women they'll have a chance with, in favor of women that are attractive enough to have any man she wants.  Personally I wouldn't put in that much effort in to someone I didn't stand a chance with.

Also...for my answer...I choose fake beauty.  Plastic surgery for the win.   :P

This.

Especially when you consider the whole "beauty is in the eye of the beholder" thing.

People's minds tend to identify beauty in their own self-interest, and most people have similar fundamental needs, so there definitely are patterns to what "beholders" usually consider beautiful: ripe rather than rotten, able rather than lame, fun rather than boring, and so on.

I used to be firmly in the "fake beauty FTW" camp, but lately it seems like too much hustle.  Why waste your time, money, and energy in the risky pursuit of artificial beauty when you can just pretend that natural ugliness has dignity?

You see, my interpretation of a beautiful woman involves being comfortable with who she is and not afraid to be herself. Natural enhancements are fine, but someone who really works at it but deep down feels ugly is not attactive. A woman who knows she has flaws but goes about her business is beautiful. I feel bad for those who are addicted to modifying their appearance.

Another example is that I don't like high heels on a woman. It makes them look uncomfortable and awkward, instead of moving with whatever natural grace they have.

It depends.  It's like asking "Do people look better with short hair?"

Some people can carry off an unusual feature, and make it a point of interest.  Other people can't.

There's attractive "fake beauty" and unattractive "fake beauty."  Sometimes people get fake noses or breasts and end up looking worse than they did before.  Other times they look better.

Ultimately, I think happy people tend to look better than unhappy people.  Yes it's a schlocky answer, but beauty often is  about state of mind.  A happy woman who weighs 200 pounds and has a bad nose isn't going to look better than Claudia Schiffer, but she may well look better than she would if she got multiple surgeries but became an unhappy person.

I'm not beautiful, but I don't know what it's like to have a flat chest or a crooked nose at adulthood.  So I sure as hell can't sit in judgment of those who do.

Make-up and cosmetics are not natural beauty.

I was talking to a co-worker the other week about this.  I came to work wearing a little more makeup than usual (colored eyeshadow, etc).  I used to quite a bit, but I'm lazy now so I don't bother with much.  Anyhow he says to me "Oh my God...you're wearing makeup!"  And then he told me not to bother because I look better without it.  I ignore him.

Later on that day we had a conversation about how some women NEED makeup.  And it's true.  They really do.
