Long hair isn't gay it's a show of power and self determination, it's a big fuck you to pretentious "manly men" plus it looks awesome.  I used to clip my own hair twice a week just as an FYI.

He might be in a profession where people judge him on his looks.  It's a legitimate question.  My regional managers at work ask my male associates questions, and tell them when they look like crap or they need to cut/pull back/whatever their hair.   You never know.

Long hair on guys, in itself, is gay, regardless of how you want to style it. Fussing over one's hair is some serious gay. Just do what I do...whenever your hair starts to stick out and requires a brush or comb or whatever to tame it, just give yourself a buzzcut. This is the anti-gay.

actually, I was talking to some gay friends of mine, and they agreed with me...  guys with long hair are not gay.  The whole thing about being gay is that you like guys that are 'manly'...  those of us with ling hair turn them off...  sooo.....  Short hair is closer to gayness than long haired guys are.

you shouldn't care about what people think about your hair.  I was looking into braiding my hair, but I've got thick curly hair, and it's a pain in the ass to braid it.  Go for it dude..
