I always make sure a problem involves more than just me and one other person. Then I let them struggle to exhaustion, at which point they are ready to accept my ideas.

I AM happy.  I had no idea I had that kind of pull.  I already picked one though and there's no going back :(

I went with the second one.  I don't compromise much and I'm not particularly thrilled about it when I do, but it does happen occasionally.
