This is a good riff for using in an intro.  Van Halen "Mean Street" from Fair Warning.

Disregard the video, its full of compound fractures.  Couldn't find another with equal sound quality.

Although, this is good audio...  and possibly the most hysterical VH video ever, same tune...  its a fuckin train wreck.

Great tune.  Really is.  This is just so bad.

I think you should throw in some ancient greek style ostracism.  Every month put out a poll with like 5-10 choices of songs.  then we'll add that, and get rid of one of the existing ones (also through voting).  It'll be a bit of work (not that much, maybe 30 minutes max), but well worth it.  It'll add more listener participation too, which is always a good thing.  Maybe offer some new types of music too (not just metal, although I agree Trust should stay) like Screaming Mechanical Brain, Johnson would like it, maybe. (sorry If I killed your name, man.  I do that sometimes.)

One of the songs bugs me. It sounds like a song that the U.S. Navy used in a TV ad for a few years. They played it all the time during the commercial breaks for Channel One, a news show made for teens that I was forced to watch during middle school and a couple years of high school. Every time I hear that song on FTL it makes me think of the Navy.

I'll try to figure out which one it is.

EDIT: The song the Navy used is "Awake" by Godsmack. I'm not sure if FTL uses the same song, but they sound similar to me at least.
