This is way more than I ever wanted to know about any of you.

Jeez, you're missing lots of great options:

  • "I hire an illegal alien to wipe it"

  • "Everything I eat is perfectly liquid (my ass has other uses)"

  • "My Bentley got nanotech personal sanitation technology built into the driver's seat"

And, of course:

  • "Some people could be doing it wrong!!  Shouldn't the federal government have a department that regulates that sort of thing?!  Think of the children!!!"

You guys have absolutely no clue how to work an ass.

A YouTube video might help.

I'm tempted.

If you just tip to the side a little and raise one cheek, the other cheek remaining on the seat, you can get a nice spread ass with little or no effort.  I think it's cleaner and easier.

Brasky's got it right.

Has anyone ever used a bidet? It seems to me it would be way better than toilet paper. My british friend once told me "If your truck was muddy, would you use dry paper towels on it, or would you just hose it off?

Use a bidet for the fresh, clean feeling...

This.  They're a beautiful thing.

Though I've used a lot of British bathrooms (excuse me, toilets), and I don't think any of them had a bidet....

We do still call them bathrooms, and no, I've never seen a bidet in this country.

Well, I had a long and meaningless discussion with a friend of mine in a Manchester pub concerning which is the proper term.  He contended that people don't usually want to take a bath when they ask for the bathroom, and I contended that people don't generally want just a toilet either-- plop a toilet in the middle of a living room, and most people won't be happy using it.  From what I recall, it ended up a stalemate.  Both of us agreed, however, that bidets are beautiful.

You people who claim to wipe while sitting still haven't satisfactorily answered my question about how you do, in fact, wipe your ass.  When I'm seated on the toilet there is not enough space to comfortably get my hand there...plus, I'd have to put my hand literally inside the toilet and my arm would probably be rubbing my crack.  Speaking of messes...

Maybe you are larger? /shrug

Nope, I'm 6' and 160lbs.

In my experience, Canadians usually refer to them as washrooms.  Strange.

I don't see how anyone has a problem doing it while sitting down.  I mean...there's definitely enough space, for me anyway.

This thread has real trainwreck potential.
