Do you find over-sized signatures annoying?

As the scholars of ancient BBS history already know, I'm usually the first around here to bitch about things like: SMF upgrades, posts-per-page settings, karma features, avatar changes, and over-quoting.  So over-sized signatures are next!

Drat!  All I could see on the main page under "Polling Pit" was "Do You Find Over-Siz..." and thought this was about something else. 

But for my two cents, it doesn't bother me unless the content of the image is something clearly intended to annoy the general type of folks who come here, e.g., a serious portrait of virtually any current or wrongly revered past American political figure.  And even if it does, it's the kind of crap you have to learn to ignore if you believe in freedom.

I won't participate in a discussion about various forms of self expression being annoying, I choose to come here.



However, I do find some of the formatting here to be bothersome.  I guess sometimes I might just need a re-boot.  When people have admin status and can tweak the server for time-outs and speed, stuff like that, and they can't operate the settings or won't be bothered...  Thats annoying.

While it's unsportsmanlike, I think that the ability for users to ban people from threads that they create would be pretty cool. Used judiciously, most troll issues would be resolved fairly quickly, apart from sour grapes threads created by the trolls themselves.

I just have signatures completely disabled.  I disabled them for a reason, though.  There were a few that were distracting and annoying.  The BBS is much easier for a lazy person like me to read when I don't have to deal with signatures between every post.

Yeah, I understand. Diamonds in the rough and all. And like I said in my post, I called it unsportsmanlike but kinda cool. Not necessary or beneficial n the extreme. I was just venting a little. Take it with a grain of salt.
