I've done it too.  I drove from S. Idaho to New Mexico last summer with my mom, stepdad, and grandma, and my stepdad listened to "trucker talk" (he's an over the road truck driver) on this XM radio all the way down there (it's a 15 hour drive).  I was cool until he unplugged my portable DVD player and didn't tell me.  It went dead just past halfway and he refused to plug it back in.  I was so mad when I got there my mom took me straight to the hotel room and told me to stay there until morning.
