I got a call tonight from my class reunion organizers wanting to know if I was going to attend the fortieth (!) high school class reunion. "I hated high school," I said.  "Why on earth would I want to go back to that hell?"

Most assuredly this.  Very few people there would remember me in a positive manner, or even at all.  No thanks.

I didn't have any friends in my class... or none that I can think of. All of them were years older and younger.

Back on topic. Bring back both.

Post count info. is available in the profile.

Which is why is makes zero sense to not have it on individual posts, as well.

Post counts lead to excessive e-penis size contests, and "I was here longer so you're wrong/you're not as good as me". While this might be useful for finding out who the retards in the room are, it doesn't make particularly entertaining or interesting reading.

its completely unnecessary, I don't care if you post 40 times a day or 40 times a year, if you REALLY want to know you can look in the profile, I don't see why it has to be with the name and avatar anymore than what net connection the person is using or how many times they've logged into the BBS

I use it as a grain-of-salt gauge to measure a person's experience and participation. Just because some feature could be abused to exploited by the rare few doesn't mean that it should be thrown out entirely.

If there was space, I'd like to see 'member since', 'avg posts per day', karma, total posts, etc. Everything on the internet resorts into excessive penis size arguments.

Because YOU don't care and find it unnecessary and would rather it not be available to the rest of us is frightening.

I don't find Wal-mart shopping carts necessary or useful thus none of you should ever be allowed!  I don't want to have to ignore looking it them! A few people use them for cart races and I think that's stupid! Maybe if I complain loud enough...

Post counts nobody really cares about, but Karma started a lot of stupid fights and encouraged group think.  Period.

Post counts would make it easier to keep track of Brasky.

...Or would it?   ~   <- arched eyebrow.

If karma's ever brought back, we should check back to this thread to find out who supported it and bitch-slap them to -1000 just for the sake of poetic justice.

Bump.  Hey, that's a post!

So?  Hey, that's a post!

Thread hijacked.  Hey, that's a post!

Pissing contest nobody cares about.  Hey, that's lots of posts!

Grandstanding.  Hey, karma!

Posting while popular.  Hey, more karma!  And posts for the house!

Grandstanding while popular.  Hey, lots and lots of karma!

There.  I could have made eight or more posts, but I humbly accept credit for just one.

scuffed wall. Hey that's a cart mark.

clogged aisles. Look at all the carts.

kids running into shins. There's another cart.

Ding in my car door. You can bet it was a cart.

Parking spot unused. Someone abandoned a cart in the parking lot.

Obviously, because I can list ways in which carts can be misused it completely negates all utility they might serve.

If the state tattoos a serial # on all our foreheads, I'm sure there will be some utility in that as well.

-1000 for you and an extra -10 for your avatar.
