I have ecclectic tastes; each form of music can be appreciated in its own right, and I don't think one genre is universally superior to any other.  The enjoyment of music depends on context in which it is listened as well as the actual qualities of the song.

I actually enjoy many genres as well, but, looking at my listening habits, and the number of items I have of each genre in my collection, metal is definitely #1.  Techno/Trance would be #2, rock would be #3, and new-age would be #4.
