I suggest this forum puts up an outlet for the collective brilliance and idiocy of this BBS's denizens.

Rants, economic papers, news commentaries, guides to black market activities, hacks, memoirs, conspiracy theories and whatever anyone would want to put up.

Hit up a submit button, put up a page for articles and run it through a few moderators to stop it overflowing with shit. I'd recommend about 6 mods, with 2 out of 6 votes being enough to secure publication, as to keep out enough crap out but still let a broad range of material to get bandwidth.

I'm pretty sure given enough time and intoxication someone here will come up with something worth reading. I'd predict something somewhere between TOTSE and Lewrockwell.com would emerge.

Think of a dedicated portion of the site that allowed unlimited entries but limited publication. Think of anything you'd like to write and have an audience to. I wouldn't like to try and direct the nature of content going on, although I think some people with good taste and sharp minds should be in charge of what gets put on and what gets taken off.

The format of the BBS discussion seems to work against interest and towards dipshittery.

Look at a forum like http://www.totse.com/. The posting in the forum is roughly 1000% more retarded than what manages to end up as a submitted article. Now admittedly totse is a play ground for unbalanced tweenies and wannabe-pyromaniacs, but it doesn't mean the same format might not produce some interesting results.

When people are presented with the format of submitting a narrative, instructional, diatribe etc, they often come up with much more interesting content because they're putting thought into making a self sealed package of interest, insight and funneh. On this forum 50%+ is just bitching and grudges between various members, I'm interested to hear what people might write about if they weren't writing with expectation of a response.

Theres a fair few here with podcasts and blogs and the like, so its not uncommon for people here to have something they want to put out independent from idle banter and bullshit. I don't see how it would lower the quality of any other part of the site, and it could just be put up as an experiment for a couple of weeks.

I never read the forums but I first read articles about 2000 also.  I never ran into anyone else who read totse until FTL.  I think I first found it googling Murrah building stuff.
