Doesn't it sort of depend on the person?

Incidentally, there is a Japanese women's college near my house. Around 300 Japanese English majors, senors who are finishing up their final year of school. As part of their "American experience," they spend a weekend with an American family, always in pairs. We've hosted many of them in our home, and in exchange get to attend their graduation ceremonies, followed by a dinner. They really know how to throw a party!

I've notice is that none of these young ladies--none--is the least bit overweight. All are well dressed and well mannered.

I hope the white women take it gracefully when I say it seems to me that this is a large part of what makes them more attractive.  There's also the aspect of being attracted to the "exotic."

So, you got suckered in?

I'm not disappointed.

You said she was controlling. That sounds like a slight dissapointment. Unless you like it.

You take the good with the bad.  I love the upside and tolerate the downside, without any disappointment at all, because I'm realistic.

It's kinda like that saying about the rich man and the needle's eye--it's not impossible, just less common.

Oh put a cork in it.

It was supposed to be mildly amusing, because it is very rare that I use the non-word "ain't"

It's the correct term for that set of people. The only correct term - which is why I used it.

No.

Orient originally meant "whatever's east of here". Oriental basically meant "people from east of here". It may be a historically correct term, but it's understandably offensive to the people you're applying it to - it used to be used the same way "nigger" was used.

They're from Asia. That makes them Asian. If you want to narrow it down to people from East Asia, call them East Asians.
