Africa as pretty much anyone can agree is in a pretty fucked up state at the moment, Mugabe is demolishing homes in Zimbabwe, the government supported
Janjaweed are killing hundreds of thousands of innocents in Sudan, Somalia is getting fucked at every angle by Ethiopia, the islamic courts and the local warlords, the Congo is in a constant shitstorm with multiple groups trying to seize power and using child soldiers and all kinds of shit.
Basically, it seems anywhere you go in Africa, there are armed thugs in or out of government trying to control you or kill you.
I hear figures like enough foreign aid goes to Africa to feed everyone multiple times over, but it either goes to governments or governments seize the assets and it gets spent on all kinds of shit, one main thing being arming the thugs that are destroying innocent peoples lives.
Now as much as i'd like to see a fully open border situation where people would find it alot easier to escape such shitty situations, realistically that isn't going to happen.
What I suggest is to have private charity airdrop glocks or AK's or whatever the cheapest most reliable weapon that functions well in africas climate. It seems to me everyone but innocent hard working africans are armed to the teeth, and as many food packages as you'd like isn't going to help them get under the thumb of government. Now I'm aware alot of the weapons would probably end up getting seized, but most of the ultra violent government types are already armed to the teeth, and its an armed populace that these governments would fear the most, even if only a handful of people got the guns, which im sure it would be possible to get guns into the hands of millions, i know i would be extremely grateful for the opportunity to defend myself, my property and my family.
There's probably a dozen reasons this is a dumb fucking idea, and I'm guessing there are dozens of regulations against it, but im pretty lazy and i can't be arsed spending any more effort on this so feel free to tear me open on this one
let me know what you think
