Adults acting like children
« on: July 10, 2007, 10:18:12 AM »

Just listened to show on 2007-07-09 about adults acting like children in the workplace.

Turn out my boss is wanting to buy a games console for the office. Which console do you think provides the most adult fun :)

I own a Wii, because I like digging into the Marios and Zeldas of my childhood, and its a great drunken party tool.

I have a Wii and a 360. I play with my Wii more.

However, the 360 does have Viva Piñata which has been an addiction in our house for a few weeks now.

Super Monkey Ball for the win!

I was always afraid of tripping (clumsy=me) and falling on someone in that game.  :)

I remember a kid wetting himself because the teacher wouldn't let him get up during a Duck Duck Goose game. Fascist.

Oh the unintentional (?) innuendo!

The Wii for sure.  I could never get my grandma or step-mom to play videogames before it.  Millions of adults did play the original nintendo (but not the SNES).

I would say the PS3 because it's the most capable of the bunch.  The Wii is probably the most user-friendly console (though we have one and we've had a lot of problems with it...broken controller, then broken wireless radio on the console itself) so it's very adult-friendly in the sense that you don't have to get really into it to enjoy most of the features that it offers and you can pick it up quickly.  Honestly, I don't really think any of them are that great.  The PS3 is too expensive; the XBox 360 has hardware problems and the controller sucks (my opinion); and the Wii doesn't support HD resolutions.  I'd love an HD-capable Wii or a cheaper PS3 :)

The Wii does support 480i though, and old Gamecube games look badass on it.
