i didnt kill anyone   :)

Hell, I'll kill a man in a fair fight... or if I think he's gonna start a fair fight, or if he bothers me, or if there's a woman, or if I'm gettin' paid - mostly only when I'm gettin' paid.

Thanks for all the responses to this thread. It has been interesting, to say the least.

My primary job was in defense of the ship I was on. I spotted things coming or going and the command dealt with it. I actually kept the peace more than provoke any violence.
I was part of the whole Haiti refugee thing, back in 1994 (i think). We evacuated some people to save their lives.

As far as being liberty minded, I have always had a distrust for the police departments in particular. Thats why I started listening to FTL, I heard the Jose Padilla story and been listening ever since. I hate police with a passion. To give some dimwit, like 99% of the police forces are, the power over another individual is insane and makes NO sense to me.

But, military guys are different. I would say 95% (my guess and opinion) that join are honorable and mean well when they join. They join up and serve a government that does not really appreciate their sacrifices (and military personnel make a lot on the individual level). Yeh, I would buy Puke a beer or couple of shots if i seen him in a bar. He may not like the service, but I am thankful he was there.
