This is cool, over 75% are "okay" or above.

I'm very pleased.

I moved mine up a step, to "pretty good".  Midterms are almost done and I get to go to a chinese film festival tonight.  Yay!  Also, I have the whole school week off to study for my one midterm remaining on Friday.

Life isn't bad. :)

Splendid.  The Chinese film festival makes me feel a little woozy, but thats just a matter of preference.  The rest sounds cool.  I recommend some of those big badass Swedish fish for the flick.  The huge ones, as long as a cigarette.  Those things rock, I've been jonsin' for 'em for a couple weeks now.

The film festival is for extra credit in Chinese, which I need. The swedish fish sound awesome.  I might have to see if I can find some.  Maybe at the dollar store.

I'm not knockin' it, I know you're into Asian culture.  I am also.  But I think what little sanity I have remaining would evaporate into the darkness and I'd walk out of there with some emotional problems.  Maybe I am knocking it a little.  I find their films painful to watch, the few I've seen.  But that goes for American cinema, too.  I almost never watch movies.  The last "okay" movie I saw was The Weatherman, and that was by accident.  I honestly can't remember the last really good flick I sat down and watched that actually moved me.  I've had Syriana sitting on my shelf for the last two years, never even took the wrap off it.  Can't even remember if people liked it, at this point.

Actually the movie I'm watching is really depressing.  I'm not all that excited to see it.  Lots of tragic death.  People here like foreign movies, probably since it's a college town.  Mostly I watch movies to be entertained, I'm not really serious about the cinematography and all that.  I want to watch a good story and go home.  Apparently I fail at being a pretentious college student.

I'm an amateur in everything I do.  But sometimes I like the cinematography better then the story.  The new king Kong was a good example of that.  Aside from the CGI, and even that was well done, by my standards.  Period pieces, the sets, details.  Lots of work goes into that.  Understatement.  Yeah, it's cool to see the details they work so hard on for a five-second pan shot.
