Usually steak, but can be used on hamburgers, fries, in stews, or whatever.

But I'm talking about meat for practical purposes.

Instead of buying nasty sauces, get better meat and/or work on your cooking technique.

I mostly don't use any sauce on good steak - that's why there is a none catagory.

But sometimes it's a good change to have something different, or use it on fries and such. So there.

Yeah, I use it for fries. I rarely put anything on steak. I know how to season the fuckers.

Goddamn, as if I haven't had a steak craving lately anyway.

I like A1 sauce better usually.  I don't always use it on steak either.

I had a killer fillet mignon at a restaurant once where they served hollandaise sauce with it.

Oh man, my mom made meatloaf the other night (I very rarely eat her cooking anymore).  Now, meatloaf is kind of an odd thing to begin with, but for shit's sake - her meatloaf is the worst thing I think I have ever tasted.

It depends, on what? If it's on steak, then if the meat is so bad it needs help from a sauce, you're eating the wrong meat.

A good rule of thumb on entering a steakhouse is that if it has steak sauce sitting on the tables, leave.

I was lucky enough to find a meat wholesaler that sold to the general public and got the best churrasco steak I ever had....  you are 100% correct....  I only needed a little bit of chimichuri sauce for the garlic and lime and it brought out the flavor like when my dad prepares it....   melts in your mouth!  MMMMMMMM

Peter Luger Steak House Old Fashioned Sauce (http://www.peterluger.com/petlugsauc.cfm) by a mile!

Never buy steak sauce that doesn't need refrigeration before opening or costs less than $0.40 an ounce.

Emeril's Steak Sauce is best.
I agree that good meat doesn't need sauce.

But horseradish isn't a sauce.  It's just good.

horseradish I can stand if it's the weak bottled type. . . I bought real horseradish and almost sneezed out my entire sinus system.

I like mine with lettuce and tomato, Heinz 57 and french fried potato

I live in Pittsburgh or I voted for Heinz, they make the stuff here... well... they make something here at the headquarters and plant.  Then there's the history center named after the senator (government, hey) and the big football stadium named after the company and several stores around town that sell shirts, magnets and Christmas cards with the Heinz logo on them.  How could anyone from Pittsburgh use anything else Heinz 57.

There even a football player in town named Heinz, but it's spelled differently.  It's a wonder that he hasn't been approached to change his name to the company's spelling to promote the products.

Ranch, blue cheese, and bbq are better on fries or burgers than you mentioned.  If I do anything with steak it is just juice.  If anything more than juice is needed, I'd rather have a burger than the cheap steak anyway.
