Internet Freedom
« on: August 09, 2012, 01:14:22 AM »

So whats some opinions on the recent and ongoing copyright infringement policy's?
I think FTL is fairly straight forward about how they feel.
Although I wouldn't mind here some opinions anyway.
Here are some links recently involving megaupload and demonoid.

The recent trends of government intervention into the internet will only increase. The internet is too dangerous a threat to their lies and corruption.

Dan O'Connor writes a great piece about the internet here: http://mises.org/daily/3766/Witness-the-Freest-Economy-the-Internet

If you haven't read it, you really must.

Dude, I thought you were a spambot for like a week. You posted like a spambot. You failed the Turing test.

Indeed it is. Also, copying isn't stealing.

Which would be salient if the topic of this thread was stealing.

You don't think torrenting doesn't help maintain internet freedom? We don't need to give them excuses to take more freedoms away from us.

Not sure what the double-negative is supposed to work out to, but I'll take a stab. I don't think torrenting is stealing. I gather that was the suggestion. I really don't give a fuck about their excuses. They make them up as they go along anyway.
