Is it still too early to make a "crack" about this?

I heard Whitney died, and I was all sad.  Her new TV show looked like promising prime-time smut.

Then I heard it was Whitney Houston, and I was like, "Phew!", dodged a bullet on that one.

Thats nuts.

And she (they) went on doing that for another ten years.

Minus the obligatory rehab stints.

The thing is, nobody ever chills back to the "occasional bump", or whatever.

You're either a recreational user, or you're a progressive addict.  Theres no in-between.

Yeah, wouldn't doubt if it was a brain aneurysm. That would be my guess. Heavy coke use over a long period of time will fuck with your circulatory system something harsh.

I'm guessing heart seizure.  Myocardial infarction.  Probably spelled that wrong.

One chamber just goes "fuck it", and the rest keep trying.

We went to our fav eatery tonight, the Golden Bowl Vietnamese restaurant where I have chats with the owner of the place from time to time. He gets into american pop-culture, just to give appearances of being "hip" on things, just to make up for his broken english. Has a "buy american" oval shaped sticker, done up in red-white-blue, slapped right across his drivers license. Strange, but pretty cool guy.

Says "Whitney no sing no more. But now she in heaven singing with Michael Jackson."

All I could think to say was "Nah, they're both in hell."

His face got sad for a few seconds, but then he laughed. Good times.

Yeah, I should have believed. I wonder if she died from the pills themselves, or did they just cause her to fall asleep and the drowning did it.

Either way, not a good idea to fall asleep in a bathtub.

Supposedly, she didn't drown.

I think she was on the "elevator".  Coke up, Xanax down.  Alcohol goes with anything.

Xanax, being a CNS depressant, I would assume she just flat-out died in a synergistic response to alcohol.

Quote from: Wiki
Use of alprazolam should be avoided or carefully monitored by medical professionals in individuals with the following conditions: myasthenia gravis, acute narrow-angle glaucoma, severe liver deficiencies (e.g., cirrhosis), severe sleep apnea, pre-existing respiratory depression, marked neuromuscular respiratory weakness including unstable myasthenia gravis, acute pulmonary insufficiency, chronic psychosis, hypersensitivity or allergy to alprazolam or other drugs in the benzodiazepine class, borderline personality disorder (may induce suicidality and dyscontrol).[29][30][31][32]
Like all central nervous system depressants, including alcohol, alprazolam in larger-than-normal doses can cause significant deterioration in alertness, combined with increased feelings of drowsiness, especially in those unaccustomed to the drug's effects.[33] People driving or conducting activities that require vigilance should exercise caution in using alprazolam or any other depressant.

In other words, it'll fuckin' kill ya.

It pisses me off when people who "have it all" throw it away.

Not talking about money.

Talent, opportunity, things like that.

Seems to me that "having it all" is not all its cracked up to be, at least in the eyes of the people who have it.

You hear em bitch about it all of the time. They claim its the expectation pressure that drives them to self destruct. Everyone expecting them to top their last big thing, living for everyone else instead of for themselves.

Must be some weird sensitivity to things around them that is also the source of their creativity.

I dont know.

Get several million dollars you can not give a shit about pressure.  Buy a house somewhere you like, split the money up between a handful of investors and you're set to chill for life.

Hear hear. I would love to live that life. Just relaxing and giving yourself to your hobbies. These people drugging themselves to their death just need a few hobbies.
